Tomáš Kopečný
Tomáš Kopečný je student Bezpečnostních studií na FSV UK, který se dlouhodobě věnuje bezpečnostním problémům Afriky a Blízkého východu. Během studijní výměny na univerzitě McGill, začal pracovat jako stážista pro Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, kde od září 2011 průběžně monitoruje domácí média Nigérie. Jako člen Stand-by Task Force se také věnuje krizovému mapování (crisis mappingu), účastnil se i pilotního projektu v ČR pro Českou televizi. Od dubna do srpna 2013 pracoval jako poradce prvního náměstka ministra obrany pro Afriku. Od září 2013 působí na stáži v NATO Headquarters v Bruselu. Názory vyjádřené na tomto blogu nemusejí odrážet názory instituce, pro kterou pracuje. | Tomas Kopecny is a student of Security Studies at the Charles University in Prague. For the last couple of years, he has been focusing on security issues of Africa and the Middle East. As an exchange student at McGill University, he became an intern for the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies and has performed the duties of a Desk officer for domestic media monitoring in Nigeria since September 2011. As a member of the Stand-by Task Force, he is involved in crisis mapping. He was part of the pilot project of crisis mapping in the Czech Republic for the Czech Television. From April to August 2013, he held a position of a special advisor of the First Deputy Minister of Defence on Africa.
