Je tomu téměř rok, kdy při jednom incidentu green-on-blue zahynuli v Afghánistánu čtyři francouzští vojáci. Tehdejší prezident Nicolas Sarkozy nařídil pozastavení společných operací a začal zvažovat stažení vojáků z Afghánistánu, který nikdy francouzské veřejnosti (a nejenom jí) nepřirostl k srdci byť (nebo možná právě proto), že jde o spojeneckou operaci.
